Financial Inventory Audit
Know exactly what your inventory is worth — down to the dollar. Apex’s financial audit cross-checks your physical stock against your records, surfacing discrepancies, shrink, and inefficiencies that silently drain your bottom line. Particularly essential for year-end reconciliation, ownership transfers, lender reports, and insurance valuations.
Request this service →SKU / PLU Inventory Audit
Go beyond dollar counts — understand what’s actually on your shelves. Apex scans and verifies inventory at the individual item level, identifying fast movers, slow movers, phantom stock, and shrink by product. As a result, you get smarter ordering decisions, optimized shelf space, and higher profitability per square foot.
Request this service →Perpetual Inventory Audit
Always know what you have — before a problem becomes a loss. Apex’s perpetual audit keeps your stock levels updated in real time as transactions occur, so discrepancies get caught immediately rather than discovered at year-end. Ultimately, the benefit to your business is clear: fewer stockouts, tighter loss prevention, and confident purchasing decisions backed by live data.
Request this service →Price Book Configuration
Inconsistent pricing costs you customers and margin. Apex organizes and structures your complete pricing data — products, discounts, and promotions — into a clean, centralized system. In turn, you get accurate pricing at every register, across every location, every time. All of this is powered by Data Solutions Pro™.
Request this service →Store Price Tagging
A missing price tag is a missed sale. Shoppers who can’t find a price don’t ask — they walk. Apex’s Store Tagging service ensures every product carries a clear, accurate, and compliant price label, building the customer confidence that drives purchase decisions. For example, from shelf edge strips to individual item stickers, our team audits and tags your entire store so nothing is left unmarked.
Request this service →Asset Inventory Audit
Your equipment and property represent significant capital — but only if your records reflect reality. Apex systematically verifies, catalogs, and values your physical assets — from refrigeration units to POS hardware — ensuring your books are accurate for insurance, taxation, financial planning, and compliance. Additionally, regular asset audits reduce the risk of financial penalties and give ownership a clear picture of what they have and what it’s worth.
Request this service →Self-Scan Inventory Program
Get full-service quality at a fraction of the cost. With Self-Scan, Apex provides everything except the count itself — pre-configured scanners, staff training, file setup, section tagging, virtual or in-person walkthroughs, day-of support, and POS-ready exports. Meanwhile, your in-house team handles the physical count. Ideal for retailers who have the staff but not the tools or expertise to run an audit on their own. Additionally, an optional on-site supervisor is available for first-time customers or larger floor plans.

Not sure which Apex service fits your situation? Start here.
How do I know which inventory service I need?
It depends on what problem you’re solving. For dollar-value reconciliation (year-end, lender, insurance), choose Financial Audit. For item-level visibility and shrink detection, choose SKU/PLU Audit. For continuous tracking across locations, choose Perpetual. For pricing consistency, choose Price Book or Store Tagging. To do it in-house with our tools, choose Self-Scan. Not sure? Contact us and we’ll recommend the right service for your situation.
What’s the difference between a SKU/PLU audit and a Financial audit?
A Financial audit reconciles your total inventory value against your accounting records — it answers what is my inventory worth. In contrast, a SKU/PLU audit goes deeper, counting at the individual product level — it answers what is on my shelves and how is each product performing. Most retailers benefit from both at different times: Financial for ownership transfers or year-end, SKU/PLU for ongoing operational decisions.
When should I use Self-Scan instead of a full-service Apex audit?
Self-Scan is the right fit if you have adequate staff but lack the scanners, software, or expertise to run an audit yourself. Apex provides everything except the count — scanners, training, file setup, section tagging, support — and your team performs the physical count. As a result, it costs significantly less than a full-service audit. Choose a full-service Apex audit instead if you don’t have staff to spare or need the count done overnight by an outside crew.
Can I combine multiple Apex services?
Yes, many clients combine services. For example: Financial Audit + Asset Audit at year-end; SKU/PLU Audit + Price Book Configuration when launching a new POS; Self-Scan + an optional on-site supervisor for first-time customers. Tell us what you’re trying to accomplish and we’ll build a combined scope.
Do you serve multi-location businesses across the Pacific Northwest?
Absolutely. Apex serves Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and parts of California, and we regularly handle multi-location chains across all four states. Specifically, we coordinate scheduling, file standards, and reporting consistently across every location so your data is comparable. See our Industries page for the retail formats we serve.
